Tips for Safe Browsing
Ok, so curiosity
got you. You had to find out what this
link was all about. Well, I made up
this page here to give you a few tips on how to make your browsing experience a
little more hassle free.
First, let’s talk
browsers. Different web pages act
differently if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer than it would if you use
Netscape Navigator. I’ve tested all the
sites I’ve created with both and tried to make both browsers happy. But, if you use Opera or some other
different web browser, I have no idea what’s going to happen. I haven’t had any complaints yet
though. (Knock on wood.)
Now, what about
links? You clicked on one to get to
this page. Do you know how to get back
from where you came from? Well, you get
back by hitting the BACK button on your browser. It’s usually located on the top right of the browser. Just click and you go right back. What’s that? You don’t want to wait for the page you just visited to
reload? Well, there’s a shortcut that
can eliminate having to wait on that page to load again. Instead of clicking once on the link with
your left mouse button, right click on the link to get the menu. Choose “Open link in new window” and it will
do just that. Then, when you’re done
viewing that page, all you have to do is close that window and WHAM!, you’re
right back to where you came from without having to wait on the page to
reload. Neat.
If you plan on
visiting these horseshoe pages a lot, I recommend that you add them to your
Favorites Folder (Explorer) or to your Bookmarks (Navigator). Then, you just click on the link and off you
go.
Many horseshoe
pitchers have asked me why these webpage named are so long. Well, in order to have a page that is www. yourname.com
it costs money. But, if you go to a
free web server like tripod, you can get a free website. The only setback is that their name is in
the address before yours. I think a
free webpage is worth that.
If you have any
comments for me on how to improve any of these web sites, just email me at Hufreisen@hotmail.com or leave a message on the Message Board. Any comments are appreciated. I’m always trying to think of new ideas and
new things to do. If you have any
ideas, feel free to share them.
I hope this page has
helped you accomplished better browsing.
Now, go out and have fun.
Happy Browsing!
